Casa dell’Albero is probably the most unusual property we have - a small 16th century merchant’s house tucked away in a maze of quiet calli in San Marco and just a stone's throw from the Grand Canal. A little pink doll's house with larger than life and exquisite original furniture brought from the owner's castle in Tuscany - ornate four poster beds, gilded dining chairs and beautiful paintings. This house is a dream, with a roof terrace and pretty canal views completing its long list of features.

The house is on three floors and is both roomy and compact. The private front door opens on to a small marble floored entrance hall, which gives, on one side, to an exquisitely furnished living/dining room, and on the other to a modern small but fully equipped kitchen.

An original marble staircase leads to the first floor which has two double bedrooms both with antique four poster beds, a main bathroom and further wc/cloakroom.

On the second floor is the master bedroom with en suite bathroom. From the second floor landing there is a narrow and fairly steep staircase leading up to the small sunny terrace with furniture. An absolute dream.

Midweek clean and change of towels included. Children over nine years only. There are two small extra beds available at the top of the house, but there is a maximum of six persons overall.

Our comment: this is an adorable little pink house - everyone falls in love with it and it is much in demand. I wish it was mine!
