An 'absolutely fabulous' top floor apartment of a house literally just around the corner from Piazza San Marco - this apartment is for those seeking a high level of style and comfort.

A lift takes you to the fourth floor. The first impression you have of this apartment is that the owners (Roman of course!) have done everything perfectly and in a divine designer style. The living room is very light and has wonderful canal views, and has a comfortable living area and dining area, all furnished with interesting designer pieces. The new addition is a fabulous altana that not only soaks up the sun and allows one the versatility to eat in or out but has exquisite canal views as well. Couldn’t be better.

The double bedroom is fairly small but the bed is very comfortable and the room has lots of closet space. The ensuite bathroom is hi tech - all white - and very stylish. The kitchen, although small, is extremely well equipped with every possible cooking implement. The whole effect is of understated elegance throughout.

One of those flats which you can use as a base for many museum, gallery and shopping sorties - handy for everything and very user friendly.

Our comment: I saw this apartment on a rainy winter’s afternoon and it was still gorgeous! I have since stayed there myself and I really loved it – it’s so comfortable. It has its own laundry room on the ground floor, but why bother with that when Armani and Missoni are just around the corner?
