Palazzetto San Lio is a part 15th/part 17th century small palazzo very close to Rialto which has been beautifully restored by its Venetian family owners. The palazzetto has the original watergate entrance where the first resident family (Mocenigo) would have arrived by gondola.............
On the first floor is a small one person chapel, in its original state, frescoed with angels and beautifully decorated. Five of the six apartments are decorated in 18th century style with silk covered walls, Murano chandeliers, gilt mirrors and Venetian furniture - all of the apartments have canal views and one (Palazzo) has a terrace. This is a charming time capsule where you can really feel the atmosphere of the 18th century, life lived simply and beautifully.
