Laguna (v217)
We stayed in the Laguna apartment for a week during the summer. The apartment is wonderfully located with an amazing view of the lagoon and skyline. The neighborhood is "real Venetian" so you feel less of a tourist and more of a resident. The apartment staff who met us at the Vaporetto couldn't have been more gracious! We will be back!

The apartment we rented was Laguna. The views from the apartment, especially the sunsets, were magnificent and we spent many hours just sitting at the window! The website does not do them justice. The Apartment is comfortable and is owned by an English couple living in Rome. The owner is the godchild of the famous travel writer Freya Stark, so some of her furniture is in the apartment. One of the designers of the film Casanova had also rented the apartment. There are plenty of guide books and everything else you need in the Apartment. It is about a 10 min. walk from San Marco, but what a walk! The Arsenale vaporetto stop is very close by. The area is relatively tourist free and has small supermarkets, shops, cafes etc. Venetian Apartments provide you with heaps of helpful info and their rep. met us and answered any questions about the area. All email dealings with Venetian Apartments were very prompt and efficient. We had been to Venice several times before, but an apartment is so much more economical (4 of us) and gives you an opportunity to live as a Venetian for a short time.

A quick note to say how much we enjoyed the holiday and how the apartment exceeded our expectations. The wonderful views every morning, lovely period furniture and extensive reading material made us feel at home straight away. Also thanks to your representative who was very helpful charming lady. We had a marvellous ten days at "Laguna" and all the Venetian Apartments arrangements worked perfectly as normal. Thank you for your help arranging this and coping with our date changes. The two extra days made a big difference to us! The views are even better than advertised and it is a lovely apartment.
